ArtWorks Summer Events in Full Swing!

Stop in and welcome our newest member to the ArtWorks family, Bobbie Sachs. Bobbie's specialty is Yupo experimental painting and watercolor. 

Always at ArtWorks we offer summer children classes and we are especially proud to be offering some new and exciting events to this years schedule.  We have affordable private and group lessons for children and adults as well as several workshops for each. One of our new events is a bisque bowl painting event.  Come in and help us support our Martinsville Senior Center by purchasing the class and bowl and then join us in October for a delicious bowl of soup and crackers or breadsticks.  All the proceeds from the sell of the bowls go to our wonderful Senior Center.  

Also this year we are offering a $500.00 scholarship for some deserving Morgan County student wanting to continue their education in the arts.  Applications for the scholarship are available at ArtWorks.

We feature original paintings, prints, cards and three dimensional work, as well as lessons, supplies and gifts.  Our goal is to market art work of good quality for the collector and a place to purchase unique gifts. We will offer classes, individual and group lessons, and bring in special guest artists for workshops. We will also host receptions and be available as a meeting place for service organizations, showers etc.

Beginning Stained Glass Workshop with Dorothy Glass
April 12th, 2008 - Saturday
10:00am - 3:00pm
Class Fees:  $95.00 Includes Supplies
Learn the basics of Stain Glass, from cutting, foiling, and soldering to finish a piece of Stain Glass with instructor Dorothy Glass.  This is a great workshop for adults and older youths that want to try their hand at stained glass.

Yupo Painting with Watercolor with Sue St. John

Let your imagination be the guide and join us in the experimental watercolor painting techniques presented by former Nashville Artist Sue St. John.  We always have a lot of fun in this class so call today to hold your spot!

Art and Attic Sale - Sidewalk Chalk for Kids!
June 7th, 2008

It's been a long winter and we artists have accumulated a lot of old frames, paintings, prints, garage sale items an other goodies so we are going to be putting them out for sale!  So stop by and pick up some good sale stuff!  Also we will be having a "Summer" Sidewalk Chalk for the kids.  Come in and sit a while and let your kids paint the town!

"Beaded Baubles" Class with Sally Hedges
June 10th & 11th, 2008 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
This is a 2 evening class.  Cost is $40.00 and includes supplies.

Students will be decorating either two wine glasses or a set of salt and pepper shakers!  Okay you've seen them sparkling in ArtWorks window sills and ever wanted to know how Sally makes them?  Come join Sarah (Sally) Hedges in instruction and fun in this two day evening class.
